My work focuses on the human body and the complexity surrounding its representation. At first sight cold and clinical, my language reveals a certain delicacy, tenderness and fragility upon closer inspection. The heart of my practice lies in the materials I use, particularly metals, which I manipulate using a variety of techniques to challenge their supposed solidity and hardness. In my installations, sculptures, collages, and performances, recurring and haunting images emerge, imbuing my work with a collective, forgotten and affected history. These evanescent and dissident figures engage in a dialogue with my critical research into Western architecture and the history of health and clinical practices. By invoking and transgressing these dominant apparatuses, I wish to highlight how they have impacted the formation of subjectivities and underline the ways in which they have often been used to stigmatize and categorize.

To carry out my exploration, I actively collaborate with professionals from various scientific and cultural fields. In the past, I have worked with immunologists, biologists, and neuropsychologists, as well as historians of science and health, thus enriching my work with diverse perspectives. By pooling knowledge in this way, I hope to understand how these regimes of knowledge are formed and how, in their hegemony, exclude. Using strategies close to abstraction, I refuse to operate by simply reproducing a sterile aesthetic, so as not to offer a fixed and rigid representation of the bodies involved. Instead, by allowing space for vulnerability and viscerality, I expose these constraining frameworks which, in their precariousness, become the embodiment of new forms of porosity.
